There is nothing but PAIN that comes from Bingeing and Emotional Eating. There is pain when you can't stop and lose all control. It's quite the scary feeling to be continuously eating and not being able to stop the food addiction.

What happens in a binge or emotional eating is that the subconscious mind takes over. The conditioning and programming of how you react to food--happiness, comfort, safety, peace, etc. is desired by your body. Your brain is smart enough to remember that when you initially ate certain types of foods (usually high carbohydrate, fatty, sugary foods) you experienced those feelings! That is why they are called "comfort foods."

So.  . . if you don't know how to manage stress, loneliness, boredom, or fatigue (among other triggers), you may find yourself frequently turning to food to "fix" the issue. And it's sabotaging your health, your confidence, and your clothing size.
